Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to be involved with the court system to receive services at Pathways?
No. This is actually one of the most common questions we receive. Pathways is a mental and behavioral health counseling practice serving anyone in need of counseling services. While we offer specialized court-related evaluation and treatment services, those services represent only one part of our practice. Our team of nine clinicians provides counseling and mental health services to individuals, couples, and families throughout the East Texas area, both in person and virtually.
What kinds of counseling services does Pathways provide?
Our clinicians work with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss, relationship and family difficulties, major life changes, anger, behavioral concerns, and other challenges affecting emotional well-being and everyday life. Counseling is individualized to the needs, circumstances, and goals of each client.
Who does Pathways provide services to?
Pathways provides counseling and behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and adults, as well as couples and families. With a team of nine clinicians, we offer a range of professional backgrounds, experience, and areas of specialization and can help match clients with a provider appropriate to their particular needs.
Can I receive counseling virtually, or do I have to come to the office?
Both options are available. Pathways provides traditional in-person counseling as well as virtual counseling services when appropriate. Virtual appointments provide additional flexibility for clients throughout the East Texas area who may have difficulty attending appointments in person.
What insurance plans does Pathways accept?
Pathways participates with a variety of insurance plans, including Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, Group & Pension Administrators, TRICARE, UnitedHealthcare, Magellan, Medicaid, Medicare, Ambetter, CHAMPVA, America’s PPO, and various Employee Assistance Program (EAP) plans.
